San Diego Christian College (SDCC) (Formerly Christian Heritage College) is a private, evangelical Christian college located in Santee, California, United States, in suburban San Diego. ==History== In January 1970, Tim F. LaHaye, pastor of the former Scott Memorial Baptist Church of San Diego and co-author of the fictional ''Left Behind'' series of books, Art Peters and Henry M. Morris, discussed the need for a Christian college on the West Coast where studies could be developed within the framework of creationism based on the Genesis creation narrative. That year, classes began at Christian Heritage College, supported by Scott Memorial Baptist Church.〔(History of SDCC )〕 The "Creation-Science Research Center" was founded with Christian Heritage College as a division of the college, and spawned the Institute for Creation Research in 1972 over an organizational split.〔 〕 It finally separated and became autonomous in 1981.〔 In 1982, Christian Heritage was accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Schools, a "product of the Institute for Creation Research Graduate School" created "because of the prejudice against creation-science, outspoken creationist schools such as ICRGS used to stand little or no chance of getting recognition through accreditation." In 1984, it was first accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). In 2005, the college changed its name to San Diego Christian College. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「San Diego Christian College」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
